New Blogging and Podcast Schedule

I want to write today to share my plans for my Little Things Matter blog, to request your help, and to inform you about my upcoming book.

First, I want to say an earnest “Thank You” for helping me grow my blog and Facebook page over the last seven months. Because of your endorsements, I now have almost 20,000 Facebook connections; my blog has had more than 60,000 visitors in each of the last two months with more than 200,000 of my posts being read and/or listened to each month, and my podcasts are ranked #38 in America’s top 100 podcasts (exclusive of iTunes).

Blog Update

After more than a month of seeking feedback and counsel from close friends and family who follow my blog, I have made the decision to start sending two posts a week. These posts will come on Tuesday and Thursday at the normal times.

There are two reasons for this change:

1.   My number one take-a-way from these discussions is that the amount of content I am delivering is more than most people have time to consume on a daily basis.

2.   I have learned from the blogging community that if you provide too much content, you run the risk of turning off your followers.

I will however occasionally provide a bonus post, special announcement or report, such as this Wednesday when my daughter Hannah will be a guest contributor.

For those of you who would like to read more than two lessons a week, let me encourage you to review the more than 150 lessons available under the Archives tab.

Request for Help

When I write on a subject that resonates with you, please come to my blog and share your thoughts or contribute to my lesson. I would really value engaging with more of you. If what you’re learning is making a difference in your life, I would enjoy reading your stories.

Little Things Matter Book Announcement

I am also excited to let you know that my first book, Little Things Matter, is on schedule to hit the market in November. I am extremely pleased about the way it has turned out.

This will not only be a valuable, resource book helping people achieve their personal and professional best, but it will also be a practical gift. For parents, this will be the kind of book you will want your children reading. For those in a leadership position, this is the type of book you will want your team members reading. I really believe it can make a significant contribution to all readers, helping them build a better life.

It’s Been Amazing!

This blog has been a rewarding experience for me. It has helped me grow, becoming a better, more understanding person. It has given me a greater appreciation for our human race and the differences in people. I feel extremely blessed and thankful that you are part of this journey with me.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, or topics you would like me to cover, please press reply to this email and let me know.

Thanks!

Todd

I found your blog yesterday and I can't get enough of it! The stuff that you have here on your blog are priceless! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for making your blog available to everyone. It has helped me tremendously! God bless!
  • I am glad you have found such value in my posts in such a short period of time. Thanks for taking your time to share this comment with me. Todd
  • Because you have added so much value to my life without trying to sell me anything, you have accumulated a great deal of "Persuasive Capital" with me. Now that I know you have an upcoming book, I am eager to buy it.

Not only will this allow me to return some value to you for your excellent blog content, I know that the quality of your book offering will be of the highest caliber.
  • Hi David- It means a lot that you took your time to share your encouraging thoughts with me. I am excited about the book. I will be sure to sign your copy. Just remind me when they go on sale. Thanks! Todd
  • Well... I will miss the daily LTM dose but I have always admired your daily commitment and I have expressed that here publicly. We'll survive, do not worry too much...
    :-))))

I have to applaud you for 8 months of very solid and high quality content. I wish you the very best with your book project and I will be back T and Th for your posts.

    Thank you
  • Thanks Ernesto! Your ongoing support over the last 7 months has been appreciated.
  • Kathy Schneider
Great plan ... I would have to agree with the schedule you've chosen.
  • Thanks Kathy! Barry says you are rocking!
  • Hello Todd,
Your many successes come as no surprise to me. Of course I understand the rational for these changes. Knowing that the content quality of our lessons will continue to be a priceless asset to our personal growth is worth the wait. Patience is one the many virtues that I’ve taken away from your numerous podcasts.

Truth be known, my time management skills have been taxed in trying to keep up with your lessons. This taxation with representation is one of the few I’m more than willing to pay for without seeking shelter.

A November release of your book will be a true cornucopia of knowledge to feast upon. This will be a Thanksgiving to remember and a Black Friday mental bargain to share with the masses.

    As Serious As I Get,
    Kevin J. Kilroy
  • Hi Kevin,

Thanks for bringing a smile to my face everyday! I think you will like my time management report with 100 tips expected out in a few weeks.

On a serious note, I want you to know how much I appreciate all your support. I won't come to Vegas without connecting with you and taking you to dinner at Nobu.

    Keep being funny!

    Todd
  • Hi Todd,
You are most welcome as the smiles go both ways. Looking forward to the 100 tips report.

Loving the idea of your Las Vegas future trip. There is a Nobu at The Hard Rock Casino. If we are lucky we might be able to catch a concert at the Joint afterwards.

    Keep Rockin',
    Kevin J. Kilroy
  • Hi Kevin- I try to eat at that Nobu every time I am Vegas! It's one of my favorite restaurants in the world. I would love to go to a concert or do something else fun with you! I appreciate you! Todd

Hi Todd, Congratulation on the new book coming out!

Thank you for your effort and sharing your insights with us. There are priceless!!
I will catch up on your new post every Tuesday and Thursday and I am currently reviewing the archives lessons as I'm still new with it.

I am not sure whether you have cover this topic yet. But I would like to suggest the topics regarding being in difficult situations (downsizing, losing job, financial crisis) and getting out of it. I'd like to know your point of view on it.

    Have a great day!
  • HI Fazlee,

Thanks for your message and your support. I just added your suggested lesson to my list. If you are going through a difficult period in your life, let me suggest scanning the list of lessons under the "Archive" tab. I would definitely recommend reading "Was Napoleon Hill Wrong?" If I went through a major crisis in my life, I would build my foundation on the things that are important to me.

    Take care

    Todd

    Hi Todd,

  • Hi Todd,
I plan to buy your book and give to my boys for Christmas. I already told my son, Greg, that he needed to read several entries that I forwarded him and that they would make a difference in his life in all he does.
Thanks for the note that I can go into the archives because I have only been a subscriber for several months.
Thanks for who you are in this world, you walk the talk and we need to hear what you have to say.
    Natalie

    Todd,
I value your wisdom from the daily lessons and appreciating how much energy it must take to produce I respect your decision to limit the number of posting. Having the archive will be helpful to refresh my thinking. Getting only two a week will make me even more anxious to get your book. I look forward to having this resource knowing it will be excellent.

Bty: did you have an opportunity to review the planner?
  • Hi Bill,

Thanks for your comment and support.

Yes, I got your planner, but have not had a chance to open the box. I have been working 14 hour days trying to complete the book. I will make it a priority to review next week and get back to you.

    Thanks!

    Todd
  • Hi Todd,

I also felt that I had a hard time to digest your thoughtful posts - and first and foremost to digest the lessons that are not always easy to swallow ;-). So writing two posts per week is an essential step for you and your readers. Thanks for sharing your insights.

    Take care

  • Thanks Oliver! I appreciate you being one of my loyal followers. Todd

Your posts are always useful, so useful that I have passed them to friends and especially to my young adult children. Your lessons are important ones we need to share. As a longtime marketer, I have always appreciated newsletters but I can tell you that yours have made more of an impact on me than most. As I pass your postings on, I always encourage people to subscribe for themselves ... I'm happy to see your success. And I very much look forward to your book!
  • Hi Justo- Thanks for taking your time to send me such a nice message. I am glad you have found my newsletters of value and feel confident enough to share them with others. Your support is valued. Have a great day! Todd
  • elramirez
I second Andrea's sentiment and I'm more than thankful for your kindness sharing this fabulous content!

As for suggestions, I am pretty sure there's something around about it but I have not yet find it or maybe is addressed or implied through many lessons? I think it is related to one having a character? I can only describe the situation and is when others agendas overwhelm our own or we don't devote enough time to have a plan for ourselves/dreams, I'm not so sure how to put it into words but that is a lesson I have learned late in my life and I'm sure others can relate.

    Many Thanks!
  • Hi El- I have not written a lesson on this subject yet, but I definitely know what you mean. I will add to my list. Thanks for your support! Todd
  • elramirez
    Thanks!

I am going to miss the daily posts, however; I understand the logic and of course I respect your decision and will remain a loyal follower!

I can't tell you how much I value your insights. I subscribe to MANY blogs and newsletters for my daily dose of inspiration, and I want you to believe me when I tell you from the bottom of my heart that yours are my favourite. I have encouraged many of my friends to follow you through your blog or on facebook. They have all thanked me many times for pointing them in your direction. What you do really matters, and I will be first in line to purchase your book when it hits shelves in November. In the meantime, I will definitely be clicking the "archive button" to refresh my memory on your past posts.

I am so happy I found you! You make a difference!

    With much love and respect,
